The River

The last drop of the last river on Earth evaporates.

The river made her bed and left

With no word left unsaid, confessed

She took off as she could, weightless

Around her only wood as witness

Oh to cross the ocean

On foot

In golden silence

When the last tear left her dry and dropped

Upside down the river cried, time stopped
It was like rain, the last rain on Earth
Fade out the river, the world within her

in silence

Oh to cross the ocean

On foot

In golden silence

Undoing time

Repainting the sky

The sun leaking dye

While the river resupplies

Hydrogen wine

Mixing up high

Now almost dry

The end is sublime
